Schaeffler China recently announced that its first set of fully localised high-performance four-row tapered bearings for rolling mill applications was successfully rolled off the production line at Schaeffler's Nanjing plant.
This milestone marks a significant progress in Schaeffler's localised production capacity for rolling mill bearings.

The high-performance four-row tapered bearings, which are made of Mancrodur® special material and carbonitriding technology, combined with advanced heat treatment process, have greatly improved the surface hardness and wear resistance of the bearings, strengthened their contamination resistance and extended their fatigue life cycle, ensuring their stability and long service life under the harsh conditions of the metallurgical industry, and fulfilling the high expectation of customers for the life of the products.

The success of Schaeffler's Nanjing plant not only demonstrates Schaeffler's firm pace of localisation strategy, but also reflects the company's commitment to enhancing the level of local manufacturing in China.
This achievement will inject new vigour into Schaeffler's market competitiveness in the metallurgical industry and, at the same time, further consolidate Schaeffler's position as a leading supplier in the industry.
