Summary of the Meaning of FAG Bearing Suffixes

Dec 19, 2024

FAG's bearing code consists of a basic code, a prefix code and a suffix code. The basic code indicates the basic type structure and size of the bearing. The prefix code indicates that the bearing parts are placed before the basic code. The suffix code indicates that the supplementary code is added after the basic code of the bearing when there are changes in the bearing structure shape, size, seal, cage, tolerance, clearance, heat treatment, packaging, technical requirements, etc.

Prefix code

The prefix code R is placed directly before the basic code of the bearing, and the other prefix codes are separated from the basic code by small dots.

K - combination of rolling element and cage. Example: K.81108, combination of thrust cylindrical roller and cage.

R - bearing without separable inner ring or outer ring. Example: RNU207 - NU207 bearing without inner ring.
